This isn’t an email we expected to write. After a lot of conversations, late nights, and more than a few questionable stats calls, we’ve made the difficult decision to shut down BocceLabs.
BocceLabs is shutting down
Since August, we’ve put everything we had into growing BocceLabs. From expanding BBN capabilities through OBL and CBL data integrations to building new tools and features, we truly believed we were on the path to something great. Unfortunately, a mix of unsustainable costs, time constraints, and the realities of running a niche platform have made it increasingly difficult to keep things moving forward.
We explored a number of options to keep things going, including scaling back features, seeking partnerships and sponsors, and rethinking the overall direction of the platform. In the end, none of those paths felt right without compromising what made BocceLabs special in the first place.
This certainly wasn’t an easy call. BocceLabs has always been about more than just the game. It’s been about the community, competition, and the people who show up week after week to the courts with positive feedback. That’s what makes this especially tough.
